We have chosen Smart Works! - Our charity for International Women’s Day

Earlier this month Cavendish Venues, a leading London conference venue committed to making a donation to a charity associated with International Women’s Day for each enquiry received. We are going to donate to Smart Works.

Who are Smart Works?

Smart Works are a UK-wide charity offering free interview-appropriate clothing and interview preparation support to all women who are unemployed or on a zero-hours contract.

They support all women, including transgender women, and non-binary people who feel their gender expression connects with the Smart Works service and wardrobe.

They support women regardless of their unemployment circumstances. Whether a woman is recently unemployed, coming back to work after a long employment gap or looking for her first ever job, the Smart Works team are there to help.

Why did we choose Smart Works?

We have chosen Smart Works as our International Women’s Day charity as they support unemployed women and ensure their appearance is interview-ready by providing them with free interview clothes. Since we are in the competitive event industry, we know how tough it is for unemployed women to get into work.
